Product Safety & Ingredients

Yes, popcorn is a gluten-free snack.

Corn does not contain gluten, and popcorn is often recommended as a safe snack alternative with gluten-sensitivity or Celiac Disease.

We also offer Kaktus Corn Chips which use corn and potato flour. Check to be sure you have the gluten-free products during check out.

As popcorn ages, it tends to lose moisture.

Try sprinkling a little water over the kernels, shaking, and setting in an airtight container for a day or two before using.

Yes. The amount of oil necessary depends on the type of oil used. The denser the oil, the less you need.

Shelf Life & Storage

Airtight containers are the best option.

This prevents moisture loss, which affects the kernel’s ability to pop. No moisture, no popcorn. Avoid placing kernels in the refrigerator. Many fridges contain very little moisture and will dry out kernels.

Popcorn kernels can last for a long time when stored properly. They can last more than a year when kept in airtight containers.

Popcorn has a near indefinite shelf life as long as it is stored under ideal conditions.

Our canola and coconut oils have a 2-year shelf life.

Opened seasonings have a shelf life of three to six months.

Every seasoning comes vacuum-sealed with a ziploc-style seal to reseal the pouch.

Dietary Concerns & Allergies

Yes, you can eat expired popcorn. Make sure it doesn’t smell or look mouldy first, and it might taste a little stale.

If you have an allergy to corn or corn products, you should avoid consuming popcorn.

Popcorn can trigger an allergic reaction with symptoms like hives, vomiting, difficulty breathing or anaphylaxis.

Usage Tips & Tricks

The canola or coconut oil used in your Snack Maker will help seasonings stick to your popcorn.

Shake or toss your popcorn and seasoning together in a bowl or paper bag for the perfect coverage.

1/2 cup of popcorn kernels will produce roughly 6 quarts or 24 cups of popcorn.

Product Information & Warranty

Kaktus Chips are similar to pasta shapes made with corn, wheat, and potato flour. They expand to a light, crunchy snack when heated in oil.

Kaktus Chips are a great alternative to potato chips.

Our Theatre II Snack Maker is not compatible with induction stove-tops. Our stainless steel option is induction compatible.

There are a couple of different ways to troubleshoot problems with your popper.

Yes, there is. The working parts of the popper are under a 5 (five) year limited warranty. The pot itself is not under warranty.

Proof of purchase is required to receive the warranty. All warranty claims should be sent directly to Schneider’s Gourmet World.

We accept credit card payments or PayPal. Supported credit cards are Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, and Discover.

Our pricing is in CAD for Canadian customers, and USD for United States customers.

Yes, the checkout process is secure.

We use an encrypted SSL certificate to make certain all payment processing information is secure when completing your transactions.

Canadian residents will be charged GST/HST based on shipping location and will also pay GST/HST on non food related items.

Saskatchewan residents will also be charged PST on non-food related items.

Shipping rates are based according to your shipping address and are calculated when you checkout.

We charge a flat rate so you the customer know exactly how much you will be paying. The actual cost of shipping is always more than the flat rate that is charged to the customer, so we as a business cover that cost.

Once your order has been received, we will do our best to process and ship your order within 48 hours.

You will receive an email upon ordering and then another email with tracking and order info once it has been shipped.

Yes. During the checkout process, you will be able to setup an account. If you do so, you will be able to log into our website to check the status of your current and past orders. If you checkout as a guest, you will receive email notifications when the status of your order changes.
