A Spark of Inspiration

Schneider’s Gourmet World started with a simple idea:

Create delicious and exciting popcorn snacks for the entire family to enjoy.

Our journey began in 1990 in Saskatoon, SK, when the Schneider family turned their love for popcorn into something more. By offering seasonings, sampler packs, popcorn seed, and their signature Kaktus chips, Schneider’s Gourmet World was born.

Quickly the product line expanded to include MSG-free, canola and coconut oils, and the popular Schneider’s Theatre II poppers.

Today, Schneider’s operates from Neuanlage, SK, selling wholesale and direct to customers all across Canada.

The Early Days – Crafting the Perfect Popcorn

What started as a homegrown passion quickly became a crowd-pleaser. The Schneider family’s delicious popcorn and unique seasonings gained popularity at local gatherings, leading them to launch a home party business under the name Schneider’s Popcorn Parties. Through this grassroots model, customers could experience the fun of making gourmet popcorn in their own kitchens.

As word spread and demand grew, so did the business. In 1994, Schneider’s Gourmet World took its first step into the digital space with the launch of its website—making it easier than ever for families across Canada to enjoy tasty, homemade snacks.

Today, Schneider’s Gourmet World is owned and operated by Wes and Rachel Peters. Rachel is the CEO, while Wes, a full-time teacher, supports the business behind the scenes.

Alongside them, two dedicated full-time employees help keep things popping — managing day-to-day operations and ensuring every order is handled with care, integrity, and attention to detail.
